Rhodomyrtus Tomentosa or Kemunting or sometimes called Rose Myrtle.

Always mistaken with Senduduk because the leaves look almost the same.

The small picture is the fruit that can be eaten. It will turn to dark red or purple color when ripe.

Try search on google and you will see how beautiful the flower is.

An hybrid rose was added to my collection bought a few weeks ago and currently bloom with flower. It's look weird ....different from the ordinary.

Kali ni nak try orkid pulak, dapat dari rumah kawan lepas buat repotting pokok yg dah semak. Dipasukan semula supaya subur dan berbunga semula. Ada beberapa jenis .... golden shower...bunga kuning, cattleya... warna purple .... yang lain tak ingat nama...bunga warna purple dan kuning...harap semua hidup dan subur ...kos pasu RM10.80, arang RM5, baja RM3.50 ......nasib baik la pokok free ...:)

Ini pulak gambar anggur yg terbaru, buah tak berapa baik sebab selalu terkena hujan.

Ini adalah gambar terbaru pokok anggur IAC pada bulan Jun 2011 lepas. Buah nya kali ni manis berbanding sebelumnya yang masam.Masih dalam pasu dan berbuah cuma dua tangkai jer.

Pokok Daun Merah

Pokok ni namanya Poropetalum Chinense atau nama tempatan dipanggil fringe flower atau chinese witchhazel. Daun nya yang kecil berwarna merah membuatkannya cukup menarik untuk ditanam di halaman rumah. Tidak seperti pokok hiasan lain yang kebiasaannya berwarna hijau, pokok ini memberikan kelainan dari segi warna dan bentuk nya yang menarik. Pokok ini juga mengeluarkan bunga di mana warna nya juga merah. Sesuai dijadikan pokok pagaran ataupun pokok bonsai.

They are the latest pictures of my hydragea. I love the color so much. Last time at my old house, the color was pink but after I moved to my current house where I changed the soil and put it into new pot, the color was a little bit purple and blue. It was not last longer due to very hot temparature nowadays where I have to water it regularly.

Bought at pasar malam but do not know the name. Nice flower and color but only last for two to three days and it will dry off. Just put on the flowering fertilizer for every two week and it's will do the work. I wish the flower will last for at least a week as it look very nice and you can have it in small pot and put it on your kichen window.

Pokok Lidah Jin

Ni lah namanya pokok lidah jin, tapi yg nik yg kecik dan tak akan membesar dan panjang seperti lidah biawak dan yg sewaktu dengannya. Satu jenis lagi tu memang kaler same tapi tumbuh memanjang ke atas.

Kalau search kat internet, pokok ni jugak dikenali sebagai "mother-in-law tongue" macam kat dalam forum ni ha. (gambar).So kalau ader yg ibu mertua yg mulut lezer tu elok sangat la hadiah kan dengan dorang ....don't play play ...gurau jer...

Pokok ni bukan saja cantik, macam2 corak pada daun nya, ianya juga tahan lasak dan mudah dijaga ...so ringan-ringan kan lah tangan anda untuk berbudi pada tanah .....menghijaukan alam sekitar dan rumah anda...

Actually I bought this trees two months ago but only now manage to upload it to this blog. I don't know the name but it's really look nice and the tree in the 3rd picture can be use as fence within your house or garden.

You can also make them into bonsai tree (1st and 3rd picture) because I saw one at my friend house. Maybe I can learn to make the bonsai by using these trees .....don't know can jadi or not....naver try, never know....

Tembikai or Melon

Inilah hasil nya meringan-ringan kan tangan bercucuk tanam. Buah tembikai ni tanam kat belakang rumah jer dan ianya dari veriety yg kecil. tapi tak pe la kan ..... kalau beli kat pasar keluar jugak la berkupang2 ....kan ..kan. kan...

Rasa kurang manis sebab kutip musim hujan dan lagi rasanya dah melebihi 65 hari kot ... tak perasan la pulak bila tarikh sebenar tanam dua bulan lepas. Baja cuma sekali je, tu la sebabnya ada buah yg tak cukup khasiat ... kecik je ... tak pe nanti second round tanam, tengok macam mana jadi nya.

Experiment yang seterusnya (Jun 2011) tanam dalam pasu. Ada tiga bijik semua nya.

Mini Bamboo

This is how it's look like after several months in the pot. I'm not sure if it is also fall into grass family as it was so tiny and there is no hard trunk as bamboo tree. I like the leaf color and it would be nice as a landscape plant next to your concrete fence.

You can also plant it under your palm tree together with other plant which has different color such as red.

Hydrangea

This is another beautiful flower that bloom for several months. I only have this variety, green color in the early stage and turned to pink color when it bloom until now it turned into green with slightly pink on the edge. According to my reading it will turn to white and pale color before it fall off.

Hydrangea has a few colors but most what we have here is pink and blue. The color is determine by the soil pH level. Acidic produce pink color and alkaline will produce blue color.

Bromeliad

Finally the bromeliad produce it's flower after several month in the pot. It's really beatiful and bloom for a few weeks already. I hope it's will stay like that and show of it's beauty.

Miracle Berry

I only know this berry from yahoo group that i joint and now i have it my own. I just bought this plant last Sunday and an addition to my currently exotic or rare fruit collection. Hopefully it will grow healthy and bear fruits soon.

Mawar / Rose

I really like roses and now I have my own collection, as you can see in the above pictures not only it has beautiful colors but also size and textures. One of them has a really nice smell and the seller call it 'ros kampung' since its variety of original rose. Rose category based on its nature, mini rose, shrubs and climbing that can reach 7 meter high.

New Flower - Spathoglotis

Initially I didn't know the name but found out in forum, it was Spatogalttis or locally known as 'orkid tanah' / ground orkid. Some also called it as 'orkid sawit' because the leaf look like palm oil tree in the initial grow. It can be yellow, red, orange, pink or combination of a few colors.

Mulberry Tree

I was browsing around in the last weekend and guest what that i found ...a mulberry tree. Actually i have been looking for this tree for quite sometimes, nuseries, tamu, pasar malam and pasar tani. Luckily when i'm visiting this Tamu Muhibbah i found this tree sitting on the table of howkers selling 'taugey' and 'taufu'. I'm asking her where did she get the tree and told me that she bought it from the seller just infront of her table which already went back home and said that if i want it she can just sell it to me and she will buy it again the next day from the fruit tree seller infront of her table. i'm sooo...happy when she said that....:)

Currently there severals store in Miri that are selling organic products including E-mart. Among them are Mystore and Nature's Way Organic Shoppe which both located at Boulevard Commercial Center. I bought several item as in the pictures below, the raw apricot seeds, dried mulberry and fruit carnival which contained various types of dried fruits in one package.

Gambar di sebelah adalah raw apricot seed, beli dari Nature's Way Organic Shoppe kat Boulevard, tak jauh dari MyStore. Harga nya RM10 satu peket lebih kurang 120gm. Rasanya macam kacang almond yg selalu letak dlm coklat atau aiskrim tapi ada yg pahit.

Yang ini pulak buah mulberry kering, sedap...cuba jangan tak cuba......RM4.90 jual kat organic shop tu jugak tapi kat MyStore pun ada jugak. Buah mulberry dan spesis berry yang lain seperti strawberry, elderberry, blackberry, cranberry, wildberry dan lain2 mengandungi bahan antosianin (anthocyanin) yg banyak dan sangat baik untuk yang menghidapi kanser. Terdapat banyak kajian yang dijalankan terhadap bahan ini yang boleh membantutkan process angiogenesis kanser (process dimana sel kanser menarik saluran darah untuk mempercepat pertumbuhannya) dan salah satu produk yang mengandungi bahan terbut ialah Optivin.

Portulaca Flower

This flower has so many colors and really like the sun. The only things is you have to trim them after the flowers and the leaves does not like nice anymore. It will grow new branches which will produce flowers. The worst enemy of this plant I think is the mealybug, white colors and some of them look like powder. It will suck the plant liquid make them really look bad and sometimes die.

This is the organic fertilizer that i use to fertilize the flowers and my fruit tree. I'm using it on my plants and flowers once a week and it work wonderfully especially the flowers. They bloom really nice and look healty too.

My Grapes / Anggur

The latest pictures (Jun 2011) of my grapes (IAC) which having fruits several times already. This time the fruit taste is really sweet than before.

This is my first grape plant in the pot. I bought it last year but do not know what variety since the seller also do not know the name. I think it Isabella base on the leaves pattern, but the fruit was never turned red even after four month because grapes will normally ripe at 120 days when it first produce buds.

The first fruits was sour and does not develop properly as you can see in the picture.

This was the second time it bear fruit but the fruit cane break due to strong wind ....

... and this is the second tree, initially it has the same leaves as the first tree but after prunning the leaves just turned to different shape. I search on net and there is possibility that it is IAC.

Bunga Kekwa atau Chrysanthemum yang saya tanam dalam pasu depan rumah sebab no direct sunlight sepanjang hari, ini kerana ianya tidak tahan cuaca panas. Ada tiga jenis, tapi tak tau the exact varieties dan mengambil masa yang agak lama (beberapa minggu) untuk putik menjadi bunga. Yang paling best skali bunganya tahan lama sehingga berminggu-minggu apabila dah berkembang.Bunga Kekwa adalah dari famili Asteraceae dan berasal dari Asia.

Bunga kekwa selain dari digunakan sebagai hiasan dan upacara keagamaan seperti di Jepun, juga digunakan untuk tujuan perubatan dan penjagaan kesihatan. Bunganya dikeringkan dan dijadikan teh manakala daunnya direbus bersama herba lain sebagai ubat.

Pokok ni beli tahun lepas and plant them in pot but it grow too fast and big .....I have to cut them down so that only the lower branch grows. Sekarang dah tanam atas tanah it grow much better....kat belakang rumah
